IRICoR welcomes the Quebec government’s new initiative

IRICoR is delighted by the commitment made by the ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation (MEI) in creating “Médicament Québec”, a major strategic hub whose mission is to promote greater autonomy and increase Quebec’s drive in drug discovery, development and production.

This large-scale project led by Université de Montréal, and got off the ground thanks to $13M in funding from the MEI. Through its strategic position at IRIC/Université de Montréal, IRICoR will not only be at the core of this government commitment, but will also put its expertise and its knowhow to use to actively contribute to the entire bioinnovation and biomanufacturing chain in the drug field.

Dr. Nadine Beauger, President and Chief Executive Officer, IRICoR said “I applaud the provincial government’s vision, as well as the initiative of Quebec universities working in the drug bioinnovation and biomanufacturing sector. At IRICoR, we will actively share our expertise with all towards effectively driving Quebec-generated drug discovery innovations”
