Bernard Lachapelle is president of the JBL Inc. Group, one of the largest consulting firms in health policy and pricing and reimbursement strategy for health products in Canada, a firm he founded in 2000.
A recognized expert in health policy and market access, Bernard’s advice is sought by industry leaders and public decision-makers in Canada and abroad, and he is often called upon to act as a speaker and moderator. Over the years, Bernard and his team have solved some of the most complex pricing and reimbursement issues, contributing to patient access to their treatments.
Prior to founding JBL, Bernard held senior management positions with international pharmaceutical companies in Canada, gaining extensive experience in government affairs, market access, health policy development and corporate communications. Bernard also held global responsibilities in intellectual property and international trade.
A graduate in pharmacy and biochemistry from Laval University, Bernard has long been involved in the political process and continues to serve the community in many ways. Bernard is a member of the Board of the Quebec Cancer Foundation and Chairman of the Board of the prestigious Prix Galien in Canada.
