21M$ to combat antimicrobial drug resistance

We are delighted to welcome the Government of Canada’s announcement of an investment of nearly $574 million in 19 projects, thanks to the Canada Biomedical Research Fund and the Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund.

At IRICoR, we are particularly excited because we will have the privilege of contributing to the intellectual property strategy and commercial development of one of the selected projects. This is Professor Yves Brun’s research project on the discovery of new antibiotics to combat drug-resistant bacteria.

We are proud to play a role in this innovative project, which aims to meet a major public health challenge. This initiative illustrates the importance of partnerships between government, researchers and industry players to promote innovation and improve health for all.
